Dovo is a German company that manufactures quality goods from their works based in Solingen, traditionally known as 'The city of blades' where the skill of making blades have been practiced for hundreds of years. According to Wikipedia, Solingen was first mentioned in 1067 by a chronicler who called the area "Solonchon" Now that is some serious heritage!
