Textured African Blackwood that has been tinted red to give the lighter sapwood a racy red appearance. African Blackwood is a very dense wood, add to that a short chunky handle and you up the scale on weight quickly. We love textured hardekool brushes, but this is a first on the Blackwood, but we suspect it will grip just as superbly under wet or dry conditions. Horse hair was the most common natural hair used in shaving brushes in the early 1900's so if you want some century old nostalgia in your collection, this is a contender. This bronc is ready to start bucking it's 86 grams around. It stands 110 mm high and the knot lofts at 60 mm.
