The Gillette Black Beauty is basically the Gillette Slim Adjustable with a longer, black handle, similarly to the slim, the head profile is also flatter than the Fatboy. Later versions of this razor had a plastic tray at the bottom, but for obvious reasons we prefer the metal ones as we see with this specific razor. This is certainly one of the tallest adjustable razors out there with a lot of stick to hang on to!
The razor has 9 settings that clicks into position as you twist the dail below the head. The razor has a butterfly mechanism that opens when the knob at the bottom end of the razor is turned. It stands 110 mm high and weighs just under 70 grams.
This razor is in great shape and comes in a case with a blade dispenser that was sold in this era, the case has a small piece of plastic missing on the mounts that keeps the head in plece, but it still seats as it should. The razor itself is in fantasic shape, looking in the places where residue accumelates it was clean as a new razor I'd say it has never been used at all.
