The word 'Special' is the only identification marks on this razor, it appears to be made from the same good steel as most vintage razors, as it easily took a great edge to deliver a smooth and comfortable shave. It has black celluloid scales and fine pinning with a white wedge that has a small bit missing, and appears to be a post WW2 razor, so around 60 years plus in age. The razor is in good nick with little spine wear and took an even edge across the bevel, maintenance from here on out should be pretty straight forward. a Great razor for someone looking to get into vintage straight razors, but want the introduction to be fairly cheap and mysterious....

This razor weighs 37 grams, the blade is 6/8ths, and has a cutting edge of around 70 mm.

*Vintage razors are priced according to model and availability, time spent cleaning and reconditioning and time/level of honing. Please enquire if you need additional work done to this razor prior to purchase. All straight razors will require a stropping on a leather strop before every use. Pics are unedited (detail) and provide a true image of the condition of the razor.
