For such a bulky brush this is quite light, great exfoliating power is added in a durable boar knot. Jakkalsbessie is an indigenous tree that grows in the Bushveld and further north over our borders, it can get quite high (25 meters) and produces fruit that is consumed by many animals, of which the Jackal's fondness for the fruit has borne the tree its name. The timber is light with a fine grain making it ideal for canoes, furniture and SHAVING BRUSHES! It's intricate weave of grain and fibres means less chance of cracking, and a light, strong wood. We have left this one uncoated to preserve the cracking grip and completely natural look. the new owner is welcome to coat it periodically with our 'My Bliksem balm'
Boar brushes have a longer break in period, and like all natural hair brushes, like to get wet as often as possible. Even when not in rotation, give your brushes a good soak every now and again, lather it up and if desired give it a treatment with our Bundu-bar to keep its bristles supple and soft, dry and stiff bristles are prone to breaking. This brush stands 153 mm high and the knot lofts at 60 mm. At 81 grams this is a fairly light brush for its size.
a Once-off, handmade brush that will lather like a beast at a budget price!
