In 1842 Dick king completed a 950 km horse ride through all sorts of wild terrain, bush, ocean and horse all mixed into a magnificent effort to cover the distance in 10 days on a horse called Somerset! Some more info on this monumental effort here.
Horse hair was the most common natural hair used in brush ware in the early 1900's so if you want some century old nostalgia in your face, this might be one for your collection. It weighs 108 grams stands 133 mm high and the knot lofts at 56 mm. The brush has 24 mm waist and a belly of 35 mm.
