EKD was a German manufacturer who made razors mch like the range that was produced by Henckles, and in hand the quility seems much the same. This razor may have been a 6/8ths, but is now closer to 5/8ths. It has a bit of spinewear, but not so much that it takes away from the razor, this razor must have good steel as it was honed a lot. The tang has jimps on the top and bottom, white celluloid scales with nickel pinning and a black wedge. The gold leafing on the blade is no more, but this razor still looks good after a 100 years and lots of use, this one must have some stories to tell...
The blade weighs 51 grams and has a round point nose, the edge is around 72 mm long, and it has a height of 17 mm (5/8ths)
*Vintage razors are priced according to model and availability, time spent cleaning and reconditioning and time/level of honing. Please enquire if you need additional work done to this razor prior to purchase. All straight razors will require a stropping on a leather strop before every use. Pics are unedited (detail) and provide a true image of the condition of the razor.
