This is a very interesting razor made in Germany roundabout the 1930,s, only a few years befrore uncle Hitler went bos. The later, more globally known 'Needle point razor' was a translation from 'Nadelspitzen' referring to the sharp peaks on the safety bar that helps with securing the blade. As far as we can tell the 'Needle point' was made for the global market while the Nadelspitzen was only available within Germany.
The razor was patented in 1929 under DRP 483681 for Paul Müller & Co., with the baseplate equipped with needle-like teeth that were cited as a unique innovation.
The razor stands 81 mm high and weighs 51 grams.
This is the first time we have come across one, so they are quite scarce and collectable. The plating on this razor is still in good nick, although the plating on the basplate is a bit 'rough' and unrefined, it seems to stem from the manufacturing stage rather than wear and tear, I would not try and polish up this razor too much, it looks pretty good as it is.
