This is an excellent razor that provides an exceptional shave. As per many of the reviews it is not for the novice DE shaver and if not handled with care does result in small nicks and cuts. So be sure your technique is honed. Start on its lowest setting and go up in half increments until you find what works for you.

Very easy to set it all up and the changing of blades isn't the nightmare you'll read about on the net, its a cinch.

The quality is fantastic, the weight is amazing and goes a long way to facilitate the shave. I was skeptical at first but I am super happy with my purchase. And the gold turned out to be a really great colour (didn't care much for the satin finish and the chrome was out of stock).

Highly recommended if you're looking to move to a more aggressive, super close shaving instrument.

You're gonna own this baby forever and perhaps pass it on to your son... grandson. Increments of adjustment work stellar. All 6 settings deliver optimum desired results. A word of caution - hold the edge of the head and turn firmly, being careful of your hands slipping if wet. The Futur can be easily stripped to clean. When it gets hard to adjust, take it that the soaps and creams have calcified and requires immediate attention. A choice between chrome and matt, the gold version might not be available in SA.
