I have a few pieces of coral that I have collected over time and every now and then I make a few blanks with them, mostly blue as it just seems to hit that fresh ocean vibe so well, and it has been some time since I visited the lovely beaches of Mozambique, so this one really got my juices flowing. Come to think of it... I need to get these last pieces into blanks and brushes and create the need to take a trip there again to walk the beaches to search for bits and bops I can use in brushes, the perfect excuse to hit the road for a trip up north-east!
This brush is tall and lanky with some coral in the top and lower ends of the brush, reminding much of a swim-through you may encounter when scuba diving. a Tall brush lather with less effort, and makes me feel like an artist of sorts, more finesse, less grunt. We fitted this handle with a fine looking 26 mm Silvertip badger knot, always a great knot for a long handled brush.
The brush stands 136 mm tall, with the loft at 52 mm. It is 40 mm wide up top and 22 mm at the most narrow part near the base. The brush weighs 103 grams.
