Amazing shaving experience. I'm not completely new to this type of shaving, because a few years ago I saw the Lion DE razor and blades pack at our local Checkers, and decided to (shave like my Dad used to lol). After a few shaves, I ditched it and went back to disposables... Probably shouldn't have based my DE shaving experience on that Lion pack.
The Weishi is a different story though. Smooth shave, very few battle scars, I even used an alum block and had very little burning after my first time using it. My second shave was a little bad though, cut myself a lot and had razor burn for days, but I think I was a bit too confident too soon, trying to shave fast like GeoFatBoy lol. I did some research and suggestions came up that the Weishi and Dorco blade combination could have been the problem. Also, I did 3 passes.
This morning though, I shaved in a rush, but with a Feather blade from the sample pack, and it's silky smooth with just two passes. So all in all, as long as I use the proper blades with my Weishi, I'm good to go. Plus just the look and feel of this razor (smokey gun metal), makes me want to shave with it.
Thanks Jaco for the blade sample pack, quick delivery to Durban, and the note in the package was a nice touch too. I already have my upgrade in mind... not because I don't like the Weishi, but because the Weishi has officially converted me to a DE razor shaver.
