Bath bombs are something that came into existence in the late 80's, me and many others were doing military service at the time, and obviously showers were the only means of cleaning oneself up, many of us missed the birth of the bath bomb as we simply continued to shower and got out of the habit of taking baths.
Bath bombs contain moisturizing and aromatic ingredients, but they aren't designed to deep-clean, they are fizzy buggers that makes bathing a relaxing experience. They were invented by the brand 'LUSH' and mainly aimed at the female market who loves to 'soak' in a tub. They are not good at cleaning, but will leave your skin soft and moisturized, and in some cases you may experience a very thin film of oil in your water, clinging to your skin as you get out, this is the perfect excuse to run around naked in your house as you do not want to 'soil your towels'!?
These bubbly balls have literally become 'the bomb' and they sell faster than pap & kaiings at South African farmer's markets, some markets even have more than one seller of these items and they still make more cash than an ANC cadre! Our bombs are made by Heidi from 'Skin Emporium' her claim to fame is the Eucalyptus bomb, also dubbed Winter Warrior's Saviour or Gym Rat's BFF, as a bonus over and above relaxing body and soul they will also ease congestion and clear up those airways, I guess this puts it in the 'family treat' category!
What is also great about Heidi's bombs? They are all natural, no foaming chemicals, and no more UTI woes for the ladies, this oil based formula is also antibacterial. No bright colours here as they have no artificial dyes and preservatives, she claims all the ingredients are edible should you be in the mood for a fizzle-at-the-mouth experience.
Get some for members in your household and have them give it a go, they is a easy to use, fun & fizzly and also a 'cheap treat', what is not to like about that?
Fill the tub. Drop it in. Soak. Breathe. Repeat.
