This brush is made from the inner horn bone of the Kudu This stuff is HARD, it is harder than any wood I have worked with and very heavy at that, the inner section of the horn has a less dense structure with cavities and tunnels that allows for the traversing of blood, oxygen, minerals and other organic matter for the continuous development of the horn over the Kudu's lifespan, we fill these voids with resin, making the brush slightly lighter than solid, high density horn, but is still heavier than most natural materials out there. This brush has a bloody red resin core which has been vucuumed to fill the finer voids and cracks in the horn, giving it a marble like appearance.
The bush has some natural divets and grooves on it, and one side that is a bit flat, the perfect spot for your thumb
The brush weighs 124 grams, and stands 120 mm tall. with a loft set at 60 mm. The body has diameters ranging from 31 mm to to 43 mm, the brush is fitted with a 30 mm High Mountain white/Finest Two band mix knot, if HUGE bowl lathers and a brush that can hold a ton of lather is your jam, get this one!
This brush will fit wider stands, we do have some forks that opens up 33 mm that we can fit to some of our stands, ask and thou shall be responded to...
