Local is lekka with these earthenware bowls that are as much part of our way of doing things in South Africa as Braaivleis, Rugby, Sonneskyn and Chevrolet! The well known yellow and green bowls have been available to us over many, many years, but they have now evolved with offerings in more funky colours that also offers a deeper dish with straight sides, perfect for building up a large volume of lather.
These bowls are from a place in JHB that buys random lots of mixed up stuff and there is now way we can order the same items, we pop round, see what they have and take the cool stuff, so if it is here and you like it, buy it as it may not come around again!
These bowls measure 135 mm across the rim, around 60 on the base and is 55 mm high, they have a rounded profile at the bottom and weigh 110 grams.
Can chip the enamel, but cannot break the steel!
