Although not quite as exotic as many other African hardwoods, Kiaat is a staple of the durable furniture industry in South Africa, it is of medium density and weight, grows fairly nice and straight, and is very stable in every sense of the word. The timber itself has a warm apperance with linear growth rings displaying flames in tints of orange, browns and reds, it finishes beautifully in natural tints and is easy to maintain with a touch of wood cream every now and again.
The brush is fitted with a 28 mm Oumo ST1 synthetic knot, known for its very fine strands and ability to retain water better than most in its class, this knot is super soft to the touch and not really a tool for guys who likes lathering deep and hard. It is not inside it is oooooooooooon the tips' The brush stands 138 mm high with the knot set at 56 mm. The brush has a belly of 44 mm and a waist of 29 mm, it weighs a 84 grams.
