Safety Razor DE1

I have been shaving with water and shaving cream/soap for the last 50+ years. I have always used one of the Gillette type disposable blades (Lately the MACH3 blade), I have found them safe and giving me a smooth shave. I did not enjoy The Safety Razor DE1 . It did not give me that smooth shave and I had to be extra careful not to cut myself. I still ended up with a rash and a few cuts.

The razor is built perfectly, the ergonomics of the handle, the fit and finish of the razor is impeccable and the attention to detail is far beyond the price of the item.
The customer service was expedient, the value proposition was only enhanced by the inclusion of a sample soap which was a suprise.
