Apparently a razor for the more experienced shavers, with the 37C the blade twists slightly to create a shallow angle that resembles a guillotine. Sounds pretty hectic, all we know it is weirdly beautiful, just like the evil prawn in 'Alien' If its performance matches its looks by any means, its going to cut like a hot knife through butter. It is a two piece razor that tops the scale in aggressiveness, the bottom part is held by a bolt that screws on the handle. It’s a design that is easier to assemble compared to a 3 piece razor. If you got stubble like 'bloudraad' this one must find a spot in your collection, as it is designed for coarse beard, also for guys who wants a close shave in a single pass. It is 82 mm long and weighs in at a reasonably heavy 77 grams.

BBS In Two Passes

As someone who has been using a fairly mild razor for a thick and fast growing beard, it was time for an upgrade. I have sensitive skin, and I read that a slant could help with irritation. Boy was I in for a treat.

The combination of the aggressive blade angle and the slant provides one of the closest and most comfortable shaves I've had. The angle will take some getting used to, and after a few nicks on my neck and shaves under my belt I started to get the hang of it.

While initially I had hoped that I could get a close shave with just a single pass, to try and minimize irritation, I found that my first WTG pass did not remove much hair. All the hair was trimmed down evenly, with absolutely no irritation, but I could still feel the stubble. After the second pass, though, that's when the magic happened. The second ATG pass cleaned absolutely everything up, gliding over my skin with no tugging or pulling. I achieved a near BBS shave, if not for still needing to learn the technique, with no irritation, redness, razor bumps or ingrown hairs.

For those with sensitive skin, I highly recommend this razor, even if you don't have a thick beard. The aggressive angle and the slant help to cleanly and comfortably cut with a proper blade buffing technique, and helps minimize the passes needed for that close shave!

Thank you to Jaco too for the extra sample blades!
