Burmese Teak has never been something in our aim, but when some pieces come across our way we are alwyays keen to create something from it. On first glance it is much the same as Kiaat, only with less variance of colour in the browns. This Teak has a more solid brown colour, but has similar styling and patterning when we talk year rings and grain structure. The wood is similarly stable and fairly light, a great medium if you want a bulky brush without the weight component that resin or a solid hardwood would add.
The brush is fitted with a 30 mm Boar knot, that offers a lot of oomph in terms of exfoliating and brushing power, a true old school, blue collar brush. This brush stands 148 mm high with the knot set at 62 mm. The brush has a belly of 45 mm and a waist of 24 mm, it weighs a 90 grams.
