One thing that bugs me about commercially available insect repellents is their effect on your skin, some are sticky, some are watery and some leaves a feverishly tingly sensation on my skin after spraying them on. It certainly appears as if my skin and it's condition is was not really a priority during product development, apart from the purpose of being used as a surface to deposit the product on to repel these flying terrors.

Stepping onto the field comes Mozzy Muti, this stuff will feed your skin like a solar panel feeds your loadshedded house, like your taxes feeds politicians, prolifically, continously and to the point where there is nothing left to extract or give! Formulated from grass fed beef tallow, virgin cold pressed olive oil, and natural essential and plant oils, this all natural product kicks ass in that it not only repels goggos, but it also feeds your skin, and help your skin heal faster when used as a post bite treatment, if there is one new 3-in-1 product this summer that must be in your home and travelling bag this season, this is it!

We have  found only one similar product in South Africa, but ours has an additional 'secret weapon' in that we use Lemoenbossie (Lippia Javanica) in ours, this is used in addition to the better known natural repellents like Lemongrass, Citronella, Peppermint, Rosemary, Lavender and the like. Lemoenbossie has  a very woody aroma that is hard to disguise, so our products will smell different than most others, but we like it, and importantly the bugs do not! The main reason we used this oil in our product was me coming across this article when researching potential ingredients for this product. It would appear a lot of research has gone into developing a product that worked well, but it never seem to have taken off. If you google a bit more you will find scientific papers on the plant's ability to repel and protect against mosquitoes. Like all natural products (and also many commercial products containing man produced chemicals such as DEET), it may not be a foolproof method of deterring  mosquitoes and it will work better for some folks than others, but it surely worked for all of us who tested it, and it nourishes the skin, so give it a go and experiment with it. Similar products that only provides skincare is double our price, so even if you only enjoy the silky smooth feeling after using this balm and are unfortunate to experience no bug protection, you still score!

Tallow absorbs easily at the cellular level without suffocating the skin's barrier. It won't clog your pores and it doesn't leave a greasy feeling which means that it's not only good for dry skin, but oily skin type sufferers can also benefit. Tallow balms are packed with nutrients and they have similar fat saturation levels as we do -  making it easy for our body to absorb. Tallow balms contain vitamins A, D, E, K, and B12, which can all be beneficial to your skin health and appearance. Given tallow’s organic compatibility with our skin, it works as a natural sebum locking in moisture and nutrients without clogging your pores. These properties are what make tallow balms so great for skin conditions including dry, chapped, calloused, cracked, and sun-damaged skin, rashes, burning, itching, wrinkles, and so on. Tallow balms give the skin the nutrients it needs to heal itself and the natural oil to keep the moisture and nutrients in place, ready to work its magic.

We have produced the Muti in three different strengths to gauge feedback from you, our 'test pool' of consumers, we will develop the product by maintaining and adjusting the three options as per your feedback and our testing over time. The three strengths in which the muti comes is certainly not without purpose and the product will always be offered in the three options because; 1) some folks are more sensitive to larger amounts of essential oils than others, 2) some folks may find the smell of natural repellents a bit overwhelming and choose a lighter fragranced version and 3), some folks are much more prone to attract mosquitoes, (around 20%) and they need a higher level of deterrence, find our here if you are likely to be one of them.

Larger than most offerings out there, and also quite economical to use this 250 ml pot should to keep you and your family's spirits high and send the mozzys off to the neighbouring campers for their bloodfests for a good few days, then again, it makes your skin feel so good you may very well go ape-shit and use all of it over one weekend!
