BS2.0 is an upgarded version of BS1.0 This version has proper canvas in a solid, weaved band rather than folded over denim on the fabric side, the leather has a more slippery surface for a quicker, lighter draw. If you want to get into straight razor shaving as cheap as possible, but also want to have the looks to boot, this is the strop for you. Use the canvas side to strop a few strokes prior to doing laps on the leather, you'll have to start slow on this one and learn the X-stroke technique, but done slowly it is quite simple to master. It is wise to get a hang on your stropping routine with a belt or cheap strop before investing in a premium quality strop, damage to one of those will have you cry your eyes out!
We also kept the the leather on this model thin and pliable, making it a fantastic travelling strop. Thicker stops could crack when folded, and those are normally quite cumbersome to travel with, so even if you have great strops, this one may be a must have. The strop has a light draw and the leather surface is nice and flat, contouring to the blade shape as it is more flexible than sturdier strops with thicker leather.
Folded up the strop measures 30x100x60 mm, and it weighs 140 grams. The size laid out flat/hanging is 530 mm x 62 mm, inclusive of the fittings
