One of my favourite Whackers, this one is fitted with scales made from Blesbuck horn, the specific section used for this particular razor was the very end (sharp tip) of the horn, with the thin, pointy ends sitting comfortable between fingers 3 and 4 in the shaving position. The shape and size of the horns and blade gives this 'little; guy quite an aggressive look. The scales are fitted with an African Blackwood wedge. The wide, rough edged steel is 6 mm thick under the thumb, making the need for jimps to improve grip fairly obsolete. The blade has a height of 28 mm and the razor weighs 88 grams, it has a near wedge grind with a 6 mm thick spine, the razor is shave ready. Hardness is 61-63 HRC. On account of its shape this razor can not be stropped swiftly on leather, and easy, slow strokes works best.
Humidity is your razors's number one enemy, dry properly immediately after use and oil when stored for prolonged periods or when in high humidity environments.
