FA Clauberg was a well known solingen razor maker and they made fine shavers. They produced razors from 1885-1926, more info than this is out there, but it's been a long day at the desk and I am not feeling like chasing up and spending time on Google, after all, the shave quaility is only true heritage of any razor. This razor is quite small and nimble, and blade height is set at 11 mm or 7/16ths, It has a bit of spinewear, but use is always a good sign becausue this razor must have good steel as it was honed a lot. The bevel is not nice and even, but it is set up on normal strokes on the whetstones, meaning no fancy stuff when honing her up again, spalsh and go! The razor has imitation turtle shell scales with shiny bolster caps, giving it a bit more in the appearance department than many other vintage razors.
The blade weighs 29 grams.
*Vintage razors are priced according to model and availability, time spent cleaning and reconditioning and time/level of honing. Please enquire if you need additional work done to this razor prior to purchase. All straight razors will require a stropping on a leather strop before every use. Pics are unedited (detail) and provide a true image of the condition of the razor.
