Hoffritz Cutlery company was based in New York, and they had razors branded for their business by German manufacturer Merkur, so if this looks familiar you are right, it is basically the Merkur 37c in a new set of clothing. It is a nice and chunky razor, and the build quaility is excellent, you will feel this in your hand good and proper! It is a two-piece razor that some classify as aggressive, but to me it is actually very smooth! It is more chunky than the actual vintage Merkur 39c, also available on our website. The razor comes in the original case and with two blade holders and an original 'Hoffrizt' branded blade. Interestingly the blade is made from stainless steel, making this one of the few early stainless blades I have come across.
