Not all boar knots are the same and here we have one of the higher quality ones. I enjoy all boar brushes in all sizes, as long as the knot is well constructed, in some cases the glue knot is poured poorly making the knot difficult to mount and not as secure in the handle as it could be. Oumo is a Chinese company well know for their high end knots, both badger and synthetic, and I have recently been advised by a customer to try their boar knots, and I must say I like them a lot. They are better than most boar knots in many ways; the bristles seems to be finer than most, they are more densely packed, and also more uniform in dimensions and appearance. The knot is very well constructed and I do think these guys will break into superb brushes worth the premium. It is very stiff when new, this mostly because it is so well stacked with bristle, you are going to have a lot of fun breaking in this brush!
The horndle is made from the horn of the majsetic Oryx antelope, the natural ridges of the horn creates channels that guide your fingers into a specific position where the brush feels like home your hand.
The overall length is 120 mm, and the loft is set at 60. The brush weighs 118 grams.
