The Artifact was a limited eddition razor made to mark the 10 year anniversary of Phoenix Artisan accoutremnents and based on the vintage Evermoist razor. The latter was marketed as a razor that could only be dipped in water and used...of course you could, but I bet it hurt like hell, especially with those old carbon steel blades! I think the Evermoist razor had little chance at getting popular because of this silly marketing gimmick, this does not mean the Artifact need to follow the same path (although they seem to be hens teeth when I scoured the internet).
It is a very unique razor in many ways, looks, materials and specs, but as we will not be selling a lot of these I will not go into much detail, I am sure its new owner will do the 'due diligence' The razor is in excellent condition and you won't get it at this bargain price anytime soon.
