Seaforth was a range of men's grooming products produced from the 1940's to the 1970's by Alfred McKelvy of New York and from the 1970's to the early 1980's by Prince Matchabelli. It was never as popular as Shulton Old Spice, but Seaforth was certainly a successful and steady participant in the men's grooming market in the U.S., especially during the 1940's. Some products found their way over to South Africa also, but only in smaller quantities, their end range of products were eventually also produced locally in Wadeville, Gauteng. Chances are your dad and gramps would have owned an OLD SPICE mug, and if they had one of these they were quite fortunate indeed!

The original McKelvy Seaforth from the 1940's was 'Heather and Fern'. During the Fifties this was changed to just 'Heather' and this line was joined by a second scent 'Seaforth Spiced' which was a heady combination of rum, myrrh, and cinnamon. After the brand was bought by Prince Matchabelli in the 1970's the brand was once again reduced to a single line, this time called 'Scottish Heather'.

Seaforth mugs are quite a bit harder to find than the Old Spice mugs, and this one is still in perfect condition, and we were very lucky to grab a few of these in a bulk buy.

Grab it quickly, this type of offer comes along only once every few years!
