This manufacturer from China is upping their game with the addition of two new great looking straight razors to their range. The W60 is has lines that flow a bit smoother than that of the W59 and offers a more comfortable fit for larger hands. What we loved is the fact that the manufacturers have spent some time upping the quality in the workshop, all razors we checked out were consistent and finished off to a good standard. Nowadays most Gold Dollars have a pretty shave-able edge right out the box, so feel free to try it out in factory condition before forking out an additional R250 to refine the edge, I'd say around half of all users would be happy with the edge in its current condition. The razor weighs in at 57 grams, and has a total closed length of 160 mm with a long, swooping monkey tail complementing contours of the scales beautifully. The business end is made of carbon steel, the blade has a straight edge with a total blade length of 55 mm, the 20 mm high blade climaxes somewhere between a french and spiked point. Black, curved Sandalwood scales finishes off this model to offer a great looking razor at a fraction of the cost of similar looking custom razors.
This razor comes in a clear/black plastic pouch.
