Although Ever-ready brushes are not all that hard to find, this one with a wooden handle and ORIGINAL paint in fairly good condition certainly was! This is a 'set in rubber' brush with the original metal insert and matching silver racing stripe. It has a few nicks and small defects, but is certainly the best original, painted handle we have ever come across. Obviously the 'rubber' is no more as we removed the old knot and fitted it with a 18 mm Silvertip knot.

In 1903 Jerry Reichard leaves Gem to form yet another razor and blade producer, The Yankee Company, which is later renamed Ever-Ready in 1905. Gem & Ever-Ready merge in 1906. Ever-Ready Shaving Brushes are first introduced in 1915. Gem & Ever-Ready merge with Star to become the American Safety Razor Corporation in 1919.
