This Lesmah round tip razor is in good condition with minimal spine and edge wear, the scales also looks pretty good for an item that is a few decades old, and the fit-up is still nice and tight with the blade centering nicely down the middle. Not much info is available on this razor made in Germany, but it shaves very smoothly, a quick google search only reveals 'Lesmah (1902, no. 53000): A. Oppenheimer & Co., Berlin and London. Registry class: 9b. Style: block slanted' and a few razors that was listed but sold, it certainly seems quite scarce, and could be a good find for your collection. It has been honed up to a 10k progression and is shave ready. The blade has a hollow grind, is nice and straight and will refresh easily on any finisher stone. The dimensions are pretty standard as is the case with most vintage razors, 5/8 blade, around 70 mm cutting edge, 37 grams in weight with a total length of 155 mm.
It has no box, but comes in a plastic sleeve we received it in.
*Vintage razors are priced according to model and availability, time spent cleaning and reconditioning and time/level of honing. Please enquire if you need additional work done to this razor prior to purchase. All straight razors will require a stropping on a leather strop before every use. Pics are unedited (detail) and provide a true image of the condition of the razor.
