There are quite a number of vintage shaving sets that one still comes across when surfing the classified sections, they are normally a set that has a genuine of fake leather case that resembles that of an old pair of binoculars. These sets have a selection of grooming gear as its contents, but mostly in poor condition and best use is the split them up onto useable items and dump the rest. This leaves quite a few of these spiffy containers floating around with no purpose, and this we cannot have!
This holder is way cooler than the others in that it is actually a 'shaving stick' holder, but as they are similar in size and shape than the brush holders, it can fulfill the same function. The markings on this one says Colgate & Co, what a cool piece!
Have a look in our vintage section for smaller brushes like the 'Culmak' range that fitted these cans, or check our our 'Canned' brushes, a range of simple, tiny brushes made specifically for these cans.
The can stands 82 mm high, with an OD of 36 mm. It weighs 22 grams, and is made from brass.
